How the deadline engine works
Deadlines are pure date arithmetic over data the firm has already recorded: each client's fiscal year-end and each assigned service's due rule and lead time. Personal tax lands in the spring, GST/HST on each client's own cadence, year-ends relative to fiscal close.
Every generated date is then rolled forward past weekends and Canadian statutory holidays, and triaged into overdue, due soon or upcoming by proximity — the same three colours the dashboard, the feed and the email digest all use.
